Hey there!
I’m Rosa, and I work as a treatment coordinator. My day starts with a quick glance at the schedule to see which patients are coming in for consultations or follow-ups. I’m usually in charge of handling the treatment plans, so I review them to make sure everything is in order for the appointments.
When patients come in for a consultation, I meet with them to explain their proposed treatment plans. This involves going over all the details – the procedures, what they’ll need to do before and after treatment, and of course, the costs involved. I make sure everything is clear so patients don’t feel overwhelmed.
There’s a lot of paperwork involved. After every consultation, I make sure to update the patient’s records with the agreed treatment plan, and I’ll schedule follow-up appointments. I also make sure patients are aware of all the available payment options, and sometimes I help with insurance paperwork.
I’m the point of contact for patients, so if they have any questions about their treatment or if something comes up between visits, I’m always available to help. I also communicate with the dental team to ensure that everyone is on the same page about the treatment process for each patient.
Most Rewarding Aspect:
The most rewarding part of my role is definitely seeing the transformation in a patient’s smile. Whether it's a small cosmetic change or a more complex procedure, it’s amazing to watch how much a new smile can boost a person’s confidence. It feels incredible to be part of that journey, knowing that I’ve helped make a positive impact on their life.
Most Challenging Aspect:
The most challenging part of the job is managing financial discussions, especially when a patient is unsure about the cost of their treatment or insurance coverage. It can sometimes be a delicate conversation, but I always do my best to ensure they feel supported and informed.
Take care,
Rosa
