Entry Requirements

English Functional Skills at Level 1 minimum. Access to a laptop or desktop running Microsoft Word. 2–3 hours per week available for study. Commitment to submit authentic, original coursework.

Learners will receive an in-house certificate and enhanced CPD points upon successful completion. (This course aligns with CQC Regulations 9 and 17, and GDC Principles 2 and 6.)

Who are Foundation courses designed for?

They’re created for those new to dentistry or moving into their first dental reception, nursing, or support role, providing essential knowledge and confidence to start working safely in practice.

Do I need previous experience in dentistry?

No. These courses assume little to no prior knowledge and explain everything clearly, from patient communication basics to an introduction to dental compliance.

What will I learn?

Foundation courses cover dental reception skills, confidentiality, professionalism, patient interaction, basic compliance awareness (CQC, GDPR), and how to support the patient journey in practice.

How are the courses delivered?

They are self-directed online programmes with structured workbooks, dental examples, and reflection activities to help you apply learning directly to practice.
