This short, Level 3 complexity programme offers an excellent starting point for experienced nurses who are ready to grow into leadership responsibilities, providing the knowledge and confidence to progress onto Advanced or Higher-level training.

Entry Requirements
English Functional Skills at Level 1 minimum. Ability to dedicate 2–3 hours per week for study. Course work must be submitted in Microsoft Word format. Commitment to authentic, original work. Prior experience working as a dental nurse.
Certification
On completion, learners will receive: An in-house certificate
What You'll Learn
During this programme, you will:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a Lead Dental Nurse and Explore how to coordinate and support the wider dental team
Develop confidence in compliance areas including HTM 01-05, infection control, and record-keeping
Learn how to manage surgery protocols, stock control, and clinical organisation
Develop leadership and mentoring skills to support trainee and junior nurses, while establishing effective communication processes across teams.
