Hi!

I’m Ahmed, and I work at the front desk of our dental practice. As the first person patients see when they walk in, I have a very important job. My day starts around 7:45 am when I arrive and review the appointment schedule. I make sure I have everything ready for the day ahead, like checking for any special instructions or requests, such as longer appointment times or specific needs for patients.

As patients arrive, I greet them with a smile and help them check in. I check their details, make sure their insurance information is up to date, and confirm their appointments. Sometimes I’ll also take care of phone calls, whether it’s rescheduling an appointment or answering questions about treatments and costs. I make sure patients leave feeling happy, whether that’s because their appointment ran smoothly or because I helped answer any questions they had.

I also keep the waiting area tidy, making sure all brochures, magazines, and leaflets are in place for patients to read while they wait. Throughout the day, I manage the flow of patients, ensuring that everyone is seen on time and that there’s no overlap in appointments.

In the quieter moments, I’ll update patient records and check in with the dental team to see if any schedules need adjusting. At the end of the day, I ensure that all the financial transactions are logged and make sure the practice is ready for the next day.

It’s a fast-paced role, but I enjoy making sure that the practice runs smoothly and that patients feel at ease as soon as they step through the door.

Cheers,
Ahmed
