Course Overview

Audits are not just a tick-box exercise — they are a powerful tool for improving safety, quality, and compliance in dentistry. From infection control to record-keeping, audits provide the evidence practices need to demonstrate standards to the CQC, meet GDC expectations, and drive continuous improvement.

This self-taught CPD course gives you a step-by-step introduction to dental audits. You’ll learn how to select an audit topic, set standards, gather and analyse data, and close the loop with re-audit.

While Glenys Bridges’ tutor-led audit workshops traditionally introduced these skills, this programme is designed as a self-directed e-learning CPD. It allows you to learn flexibly at your own pace, with downloadable templates, audit checklists, and reflection tasks to support practical application.
